Just what the doctor ordered: a feel-good show for troubled times. Those of you who’ve recently lost your job, your lover, or your stock portfolio, take heed: this makeshift quartet (two winsome musicians, two wise—and wisecracking—poets)  could probably cheer up an atheist on his deathbed. With its quirky cocktail of acoustic guitar, piano, vocals, and poems that sound like limericks yet feels like Bukowski, the evening is at once rollicking (a mushroom trip that turns into a action-movie romp across Dublin with Gene Hackman and Tommy Lee Jones) and soulful (several sigh-eliciting, finely written ballads).

Think of this show as an hour-long vacation to Cork with these charming lads as your affable tour guides. While this show may not blow your mind, it’ll certainly warm your heart. Laugh, smile, sing along, and have another pint.
