Returning for a third Prague Fringe Festival, this Irish quartet of singers/musicians (David Rynhart & Niall Connolly) and poets (Stephen Murray and Neil McCarthy) provide a terrific, low-key and supremely enjoyable combination of music, song and spoken word poetry. The vibe is all friendship and warmth; when singing and talking about love, broken hearts, freaky mushroom trips and marathons that is much appreicated. Considering the venue, this experience of the excellent music and poetry is more like being invited to an underground private party where the entertainment is provided by the town’s best kept and most unassuming secret. After the craziness of life in Prague or running around trying to catch all the Fringe shows possible – grab a pint or two and settle down with the lads from Cork and let their sweet sounds and beguiling personalities transport you along with the Mermaids in the Liffey.
