Under Communism, cigarettes and beer were the two luxuries that people could access cheaply and on a regular basis. Although cigarette smoking is becoming more and more heavily regulated - you can't smoke at a tram or bus stop anymore, for example, even though they're outside - it's still widespread. Pubs and restaurants, cafés and hotel lobbies, nurseries and hospitals (just kidding) - all are usually draped in smoke. This is particularly problematic in some of the city's more dungeon-like pubs and bars, where, upon returning home, you'll find that you positively stink of cigarettes. If you can't beat 'em, join 'em, right? Actually, this is terrible advice. In any case, some fear that eventually you won't be able to smoke inside anywhere in the city. I don't want to think about the mass rioting that would ensue if this happened.
