After Euro 2004's football feast it's back to the meat and potatoes of domestic league action on Saturday as the Czech first division - the Gambrinus Liga - kicks off a new season. In Prague, Sparta Praha takes on Slovácko, the club formerly known as Synot. Slovácko begin the new season with a 12-point deficit as punishment for their part in a bribery scandal last season. Prague's other top-flight team, Slavia Praha, travels to Zlín. League champion Baník Ostrava begins the season at home to České Budějovice.
