What, where and when? Prague 2 we will use streets; Jugoslavská and Londýnská incl. Nám. Míru for this transformation. On Sept 20, 2009 entire car traffic will be banned in these places in order to create a car-free zone pleasant and accommodating for pedestrians, kids, pets, cyclists, coffee shops, small restaurants and bistros, performances. The TIKI LIVE LIZARD LOUNGE: PROVOKATOR.ORG is running the best Tiki Tent with cocktails by Taki Tiki Bar, of Zizkov. Live music hosted by Red Room, Live music and Djs, and burritos. RedRoom is hosting the live acoustic stage, featuring RedRoom regular performers- Ian Kelosky, Matt Petrarca & Alasdair Bouch. RedRoom is the best small live music venue in Prague featuring international and touring acts. Never a cover, great cocktails, beer & prices! http://www.redroom.cz Lookout! It's DJ Stevie Weenie of mindbeam with all-original DUB HOUSE electronic tracks, weee-oooo-weeeee-oooooo-weeee-oooo! mindbeam digidub brings fuzz bass in one hand and hypnotic melodies in the other, ska vibes VS. minimal tekno, a special type of smooth on ball bearings deep in electric grooves, playing mostly original tracks with illegal remixes of some recorgnizable favorites. Stevie Weenie lives in a laptop based in Prague, feasting on home recordings of live instruments and junk drums seasoned with found sound. Catch his live set at Cyklo Jizda. Prague-resident UK singer-songwriter Alasdair Bouch will be playing songs from his forthcoming album 'First Person Singular' to support Critical Mass. His genre-defying original material encompasses rootsy alt-folk, melodic power-pop and blue-eyed soul, and his highly personal lyrics and impassioned delivery perhaps best earns it the description 'confessional blues'. British national newspaper 'The Guardian' likened his voice to that of the late great Otis Redding, and he has built a loyal, enthusiastic following since arriving in Prague three years ago, as rabidly positive word-of-mouth has seen his profile shoot through the roof. For further information, become a fan on Facebook (http://tiny.cc/alasdair) or MySpace (http://tiny.cc/myalasdair) Come down to see what all the fuss is about. |
