The first decision to make is whether you would like a ready-made ("shelf") company or a new one. Unlike in the United Kingdom or elsewhere in Western Europe, establishing a new company in the Czech Republic is still a rather long and complicated process- particularly for a foreigner. Czech regulations stipulate that in order for a foreigner to be the Director of a company, they must hold a valid visa (of at least one year duration). If you do not hold a visa, the visa process alone could take about 8 - 12 weeks. In addition to this, setting up a new company could take an additional 4 - 6 weeks once the visa has been obtained. | ||||
