Freak snow shower blankets Prague 1

Local residents woke with a shock on Thursday morning with a blanket of snow covering parts of Prague 1’s Old Town. Ironically it fell on the Czech National holiday for St. Wenceslas who pruportedly loved snow. Foreigners Making Czech Babies

ČeskéNoviny.cz reports today that the Czech birth rate has overtaken the death rate for the first time since 1993 – a development “affected mainly by foreign immigrants,” according to the Czech Statistical Office.

Power Outage in Prague 1

This is to inform you that the power outage was caused by a failure in high voltage switching station transformers of the Prague City power supplier Prazska energetika.
The outage started at 10:36 a.m. and finished at 11:17 a.m..
