Terry’s Socksby Sam Beckwith
One of Terry Gilliam’s more unusual engagements on his recent trip to Prague was Friday’s opening of Terryho pono˛ky (Terry’s Socks), a new store at the art house Kino Světozor cinema.
The shop’s name refers to a famous photo of Gilliam (above), taking his shoes off onstage at ˇi˛kov’s Kino Aero, to show off a pair of patterned socks. (Světozor and Aero are owned by the same people.)
Selling DVDs, videos, movie posters, books and other film-related items, the store is open daily from 10am until 9:30pm.
