Graffiti: Welcome Inside of the Corinthia Towers
Lukáš Fokt and Zsolt Farkas take charge and turn the place upside down...
Prague, Czech Republic, December 11th, 2007 – In attempt to further upgrade back of the house areas and meet the new generations taste and expectations, General Manager of five-star hotel Corinthia Towers Christian Grage and Public Relations Manager Jana Horackova invited local Graffiti artists – Lukáš Fokt and Zsolt Farkas to take charge and „turn the place upside down“.
“We agreed with both artists that it’s great to do such graffiti pieces on unusual places as back of the five-star hotel for sure is as well as it’s fantastic opportunity for young people to avoid illegal graffiti on facades of buildings”, comments Jana Horackova.
Overall six different motives for departments such as Maintenance, Training, Kitchen, outside smoking corner or lift landing for back of house have been chosen to add „spirit“ to otherwise white and boring walls in traditional back of the house areas. “Employees love those art initiatives”, says Christian Grage, with many more departments now requesting for their personalised Graffiti pieces. The largest piece is over 4 meters high and 5 meters wide and decorates the lift landing of the two lifts for back of the house transportation. An eye catcher even for guests these days that manage to take a glimpse into the back area. “I have seen so many pictures taken by proud employees in front of those new images in the back house”, adds Christian Grage, who has done this initiative before by finding a British graffiti artist and continue: “We must enhance employee areas and keep their smiles going. The graffiti pieces initiative is only one small aspect of many other initiatives driven by creative management team of Corinthia Towers Hotel.”
