Prague Youth Theatre
Prague Youth Theatre (PYT) is an English speaking Youth Theatre for native and non-native English speakers aged between 4 – 17 years old. PYT is designed to give young people the chance to express themselves within a dramatic medium and to develop not only their theatrical skills, but also their sense of teamwork, confidence and commitment. This is the philosophy at the heart of PYT.
Founded in August 2011, PYT has already performed extensively in professional theatres in Prague and at the Prague Fringe Festival. Our senior group were awarded best script at the Class in Action Youth Theatre competition 2012 and many of our students were awarded distinctions in their recent London Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts acting exams. More information can be found at www.lamda.org.uk
PYT offers young people aged between 4 – 17 years old the opportunity –
- To work with professional actors, directors and technicians
- To take responsibility for themselves as individuals and as members of a team
- To gain experience in areas other than that provided through education
Throughout the year PYT members will perform in at least two major theatrical performances and will cover a wide range of theatrical skills. These may include:
- Stage Fighting
- Acting for TV and Film
- Clowning and Physical Comedy
- The Art of Devising
- And many, many more…!
PYT will be running free trial sessions for all its groups in September. Prague Youth Theatre understands that children and young people need to make their own decisions and try things out. Therefore there is no obligation to sign up, just come along, have fun and see what you think.
To register for one of our free trial sessions, please contact Adam Stewart at firstname.lastname@example.org or visit our website www.pyt.cz
