Gin lover’s paradise!
Any fan of cocktails knows that the base of a good classic drink is gin. And why is that? Because it’ll go with practically everything- fruit flavours, herbs, even wine- gin is a miracle spirit.
Well, what better way to celebrate this spirit than by holding a festival in its honour? The very first GinFest in Prague is happening this year, following suit of similarly popular events in the United Kingdom.
On Friday 20th June, in the Louvre Gallery- just below the famous Café Louvre- the place will be transformed into a veritable feast for those who love their gin, or those who wish to learn more about the different varieties of gin. And to get you in the mood for the festival, Gin cocktail week- held one week before the festival- will showcase an incredible gin menu in the best Czech bars.
With over 20 different varieties of gin on offer, and four different kinds of tonic, you’ll be absolutely spoilt for choice when deciding which gin is your favourite. As well as trying some of the gin varieties, there will also be seminars, and a bartending workshop courtesy of Barlife Academy.
