TGI Friday’s Na Příkopě renovations/auction
TGI Friday’s gets a makeover
From 23 June the popular TGI Friday’s at Na Příkopě 27 will close for four days. But fear not – the temporary closure is occurring so that the premises can undergo a makeover that will see its current interior design transformed into a glittering New York City style restaurant and bar.
The renovations will include the installation of stylish mirrored wall panels, new artwork depicting classic New York City landmarks, comfortable diner booth style seating and an even bigger bar area.
Extra renovations will continue to take place over the summer though the restaurant will stay open during this time. A VIP grand re-opening showcasing all the new design features added this summer is expected to take place in September.
As part of the restaurant’s makeover, TGI Friday’s at Na Příkopě will be auctioning off its old artefacts, curios and objets d’art at a live auction taking place at the restaurant.
With decorations that include retro Coca Cola posters, vintage Jack Daniels signs and flags depicting the names of classic American products and sports teams, the auction is perfect for any fan of retro design hoping to update their homes with genuine vintage products.
A local celebrity, to be announced later this month, is expected to preside over the auction and all proceeds from the event will go towards a deserving local charity.
TGI Friday’s anticipate the Na Příkopě branch will be closed from 23 June until 27 June to allow ample time for the renovations to take place. The equally popular branch at Karlova 20, which is just a short walk from Na Příkopě, will remain open during this time as will TGI Friday’s Andél across the Vltava River.
