6th Asparagus festival will take place all over the Czech Republic
Asparagus festival runs from May 10 till May 24
Season of asparagus culminates and delicacies made from „green and white gold“ can be found on menus in restaurants all over the Czech Republic. The 6th year of Asparagusfestival is celebrating this very popular vegetable that is experiencing its renaissance. Involved restaurants will offer from 10th till 24th May three-course menus for a unique price. The Festival takes place in restaurants all over the republic this year. Asparagusfest is organized by restaurant guide RESTU, so all visitors of the festival can use the events webpage www.chrestfest.cz to book a table at a chosen restaurant right away.
Although asparagus is like a universal elixir of health & pretty and is popular abroad, in the Czech republic it is getting more attention in recent years. „Tradition of asparagus farms is restored in the Czech Republic and Czech asparagus from Mělnicko or from surroundings of Ivančice is well known in the whole of Europe. We want to encourage fame of this local product even more in the Czech Republic, that is why we are organizing the Asparagus festival,“ says Pavel Suchánek, founder of restaurant guide RESTU. „We´re really glad that with our Asparagus festival are involved restaurants from all over the Czech Republic.“
Restaurants and even their asparagus menus are introduced at www.chrestfest.cz. Alongside the classics as the traditional asparagus soup or asparagus with Hollandaise sauce, there will appear specialties like asparagus risotto made of healthy quinoa, terrine from monkfish and asparagus, or multiple other variations of sweet and salty desserts.
Three-course menu from all the restaurants will have the same price 399 Kč. You can book your place in restaurant right on festival webpage www.chrestfest.cz.
