New Circus at Chapiteau X in Letna
Experience the unique atmosphere and the breathtaking performances of the ChapiteauX project
Unique atmosphere, inspirational fantasy, defying gravity, strong emotions, music that stays in your head well after the show has ended - that's ChapiteauX - a rare and unique project, that was created by the Cirk La Putyka ensemble and the Letní Letná festival. ChapiteauX, The other place in the city, is supported by the Prague's mayor Bohuslav Svoboda.
This months's part of the project starts on July 17 with shows happening every day up until the July 29.
Get a taste of some of the plays:
Award-winning show from award-winning contemporary circus. Forceful and funny, powerful and poetic, La Putyka explores Czech pub culture through glazed eyes and beery breath... This energising, intensely vibrant spectacle fuses acrobatics, dance, theatre, puppets and live music into original contemporary circus that wins awards.
Up End Down
The project UP'END'DOWN by the Cirk La Putyka is a follow-up of the previous La Putyka show developing its genre but with one big difference: none of our actors, dancers and athletes was involved with the circus disciplines chosen for the new project (teeter board, silks, ropes, straps, wu-shu) before the rehearsals for the show began.
