Fancy a pint? (or two, or three?)
7th annual Czech Beer Festival
If you know anything about the Czech people it’s that they love their beer. And what better way to get acquainted with Czech beer than by attending the Czech beer festival?
For the seventh year, Prague is host to a festival celebrating over 70 types of Czech beer, as well as tradition Czech costumes, live music and Czech specialty dishes throughout the whole of the festival. For 17 days, between the 15th and the 31st of May, Letná in Prague 7 will be home to this incredible beer festival, and boasting an incredible 10,000 seats this year, there’s no need to worry about not getting a spot!
Admission is free from Monday – Friday before 2pm, and costs 90 CZK any other time, until the festival grounds close at 11pm. Payment during the festival will be via ‘Beer Card’- a chargeable credit card for the use of beer and food during the festival, and any money left at the end of the day (up to a maximum of 225 CZK) will be reimbursed upon the festival’s closure.
As well as beer, the festival also boast the Rock ‘n’ Beer fest- where 56 bands battled against a total of 220 to perform at this year’s beer festival. Details of these bands haven’t yet been announced, but the line-up will be released soon.
