A NEW PREMIERE with English supertitles
A comedy in verse about love, contempt and adaptability will be presented in an energetic and surprisingly contemporary interpretation under the direction of the young Slovak director Lukáš Brutovský. The director approaches the play written almost 350 years ago, about an idealist who sharply, ostentatiously and sometimes even disagreeably delimits himself against social hypocrisy, in a very modern manner with great actors: Filip Čapka, in the role of Alcest, furiously despising social conventions and pretence, and Eva Josefíková giving a guest performance as the beautiful, smart, and courted by men but also opinionated and scheming Celimena. Eva Josefíková is a shooting star nominated for the Český lev Award as the best supporting actress in the movie “Fair play”.
Premiere May 30, 2015 in Švandovo Theatre Main Hall.
This production will be presented with English supertitles.
The first two repeats will be for 120 CZK:
1st Repeat: June 1, 2015 from 7:00 pm; tickets online
2nd Repeat: June 15, 2015 from 7:00 pm; tickets online
