Women’s American Football Finals in Prague
Slavia athletic stadium on Saturday 7th November at 2pm
The finals of the first Women’s American Football season takes place at the Slavia athletic stadium on Saturday 7th November at 2pm. It’s a landmark event that sees local side Prague Black Cats host the Brno Black Cat Amazons in a bid to claim the inaugural women’s title.
American Football is beginning to find its place in Europe with more and more interest growing in men’s game while the women’s game has followed suit. The Prague Harpies were the first club established for women in 2010 and the enthusiasm they bought to the table ensured other clubs joined the party.
The Brno Black Cat Amazons and the Prague Black Cats are the two biggest clubs but there are plans, however, for additional teams in Pilzen, Liberec, Karlovy Vary and Hradec Kralove to join the association.
So come down to the Slavia Athletic stadium this Saturday and watch this historic moment and see who will lift the trophy and become the Princess in Shining Armour! (princezny v lesklých zbrojích).
As well as the main event there will be a fan competition during half time break to see who can kick a field goal with various prizes on offer. In addition, there will also be a raffle where the lucky winner can pick up a pair of Beats headphones.
And for those looking for a hearty meal to go with the action the boys from Bezjment Burger Bar will be on hand to serve up the best burgers Prague has to offer! So come one and come all and enjoy the first ever Women’s American Football Final in Prague this weekend.
