Legendy (Legends) 2016 is returning to Prague on June 11 -12
A thousand dreams in one place
The unique Czech motor show Legends (Legendy) 2016 combines motorcycle and automobile exhibitions, rides, art and photographs, a club presentation, and market stalls, as well information about motor sports and activities related to road safety for young people. This year, Legends will offer real gems from the motor sports world. You can look forward to seeing 25 exciting convertibles including the first SUV convertible, the new Range Rover Evoque Cabrio, and a collection of Škoda 130RS race cars — with 15 original units on display. You also won’t want to miss a display of beautiful British cars from Lotus, Bentley, Jaguar, Rolls Royce and Aston Martin. Guests can also enjoy a presentation created in collaboration with Tatra Trucks about the Dakar Rally from its beginning to the present.
The 2016 Legendy (Legends) show will take place on the weekend of June 11–12, returning to the beautiful English park at the Psychiatric Hospital in Prague's Bohnice district. This year, motor hobbyists can expect an increase in the number of exhibitors and thousands of exhibits. There will be presentations by Jaguar, Land Rover, Lamborghini, Ferrari, Porsche and the official importer of the McLaren.
Mercedes-Benz is bringing its six-wheel extreme off-road Mercedes-Benz G500 4x4, which can wade through one-meter-deep water. You will also see the cars from the top rank of motor sports: Formula 1. In addition to a single-seat car from Mercedes-Benz you will also see the Ferrari F1, which will be brought by Shell, which is celebrating 25 years on the Czech market.
In addition to Formula 1, you can also see the Hyundai i20 WRC, the BMW M4 DTM, the Ducati racing motorbike and other models. This year’s automobile festival will also feature some Italian “pure breeds”: Lamborghini will show the Huracán and the open Huracán Spyder. You can also thrill yourself with Czech and foreign motor sport stars.
Automakers will use this year’s Legends as a large showcase and will present most of the new models that will be at the Geneva Motor Show later this year. At Legends visitors will be able to select a new car and even purchase it straight away: this will be an ideal connection between motor sport veterans and new cars.
The co-organizer of Legends is Autoklub České republiky, the top authority on motoring in the Czech Republic. The association not only lives and breathes sports but also has a great interest in road safety. This will be reflected at Legends, where the Autoklub will focus on improving driving skills.
Legends plans to have a central radio channel to provide up-to-the-minute information for the visitors. There will also be three times the usual amount of refreshment stands and extended opening hours. On Saturday you can enjoy seeing the cars from 9:00 until 20:00 and on Sunday from 9:00 until 17:00. On Saturday you can even get an autograph from chef Zdeněk Pohlreich at the Lexus stand, and on Sunday you can get an autograph from Olympic snowboarder Eva Samková at the Toyota stand.
Some 45,000 visitors are expected to attend throughout the weekend.
You can buy tickets through Ticketpro. Two-day tickets and family tickets can be bought for a bargain price right now during the presale. For more information about the event including photographs, please visit the website www.legendy.cz or the Facebook page “Legendy - Automobilová slavnost” or download the new “Legendy 2016” (Android / iOS) smartphone app.
