Annual exhibition Czech Press Photo showcases 2012's news stories through January 31 st.

In its 18th edition, the Czech Press Photo exhibit features this year's best work by Czech and Slovak photographers in the spaces of Old Town Hall.

A total of 297 photographers submitted 3,719 photos to the 2012 competition in eight different categories, including the prestigious Photograph of the Year award.

This year’s winning shot by Milan Jaroš from Respekt features the public mourning president Václav Havel’s death at Wenceslas Square.
