František Kupka: The Road to Amorpha

The National Gallery is hosting an exhibit of the Czech-born abstract painter František Kupka through March 3rd.

Located in the newly-reconstructed Salma Palace near the Prague Castle, the exhibit traces Kupka’s road to abstractism. It showcases works that were displayed in influential art salons in Paris between 1899 and 1913 including Kupka’s pre-abstract-era art on loan from collector Meda Mládková.

Some works have been borrowed from Centre Pompidou in Paris, the Modern Art Museum and the Guggenheim Museum in New York.

For more details about the exhibit, visit the official NG website. (In Czech and English)
