The Světozor and Lucerna cinemas are hosting the second edition of the Festival of Iranian Films between January 9th and 13th.

This year’s festival focuses on child heroes. The selection, among others, includes a story of an eight-year-old boy, Where is the Friend’s Home? (1987), directed by Abbas Kiarostami and Amir Naderi’s The Runner (1990) about a young boy who loses his home during war and comes to realization that the only way he can realize his dreams is by enrolling in school.

This edition newly features an Afghan Night which will present a selection of the best contemporary Afghan film production.
