Michal Rataj, estabilished and recognized personality of Czech electroacoustic music, will host a release party of his latest album at NoD

Michal Rataj is one of the leading figures of the Czech electroacoustic music and on 13 February, he will host a release party dedicated to his latest album Spectral Shapes that was launched in the fall 2012 by the Polish label Audiotong. Rataj will introduce his new album to the public for the first time; the party will be accompanied by a concert with several exclusive guest musicians – performer and poet Jaromír Typlt, guitar player Ivan Boreš and intermedia artist Ladislav Železný.

Michal Rataj has long-term experience as music composer, producer, director and music researcher. After graduating from Department of Music Studies at Faculty of Philosophy and Arts and music composition at Faculty of Music in Prague, he absolved short term stays at prestigeous universities in London and Berlin and in 2007, he visited USA as the Fulbright scholar at Centre For New Music And Technology (CNMAT) at University Of California, Berkeley.

The concert on 13 February will be dedicated to his latest album Spectral Shapes that has been positively apreciated by Czech music journalists and critics. The tickets for 150 CZK and 100 CZK for students / senior citizens can be already purchased through SMS Ticket, Ticketportal or at NoD every working day from 4 to 8 p.m.
