Japanese instrumental band Mono is coming to Prague as part of its European tour on Friday, December 14th.

The Japanese quartet released its sixth studio album, For My Parents, in early September and is following up with a European tour, stopping by Dobeška theatre in Prague 4.

Founded in Tokyo in 1999, the experimental group chose to forgo vocals and concentrate instead on atmospheric classical-inspired rock music, releasing the first full-length record, Under the Pipal Tree, in 2001 on John Zorn's Tzadik label.

Their most recent release on Temporary Residence LTD was recorded with the Wordless Music Orchestra who backed them for their 2010 live album, Holy Ground. Unlike their previous gig in Palác Akropolis, Dobeška promises a lot more intimate atmosphere.
