Enter through the glass doors on Pařížská street and let the amicable and laid back atmosphere swallow you up. Marvel at the beautiful faces adorning the walls. This is Barock; a restaurant which has for a long time been regarded as one of the best in Prague. Once you have had the pleasure of dining here, you will understand why.
Barock's entire space is a bright and pleasant mix of many different styles. The most dominant feature is the bar. Why not have a seat there and enjoy an exotic cocktail or two or, if you prefer, continue past the bar behind the white columns for more privacy.If you don't actually have the good fortune to meet a supermodel in person in Barock, don't despair. The pictures of the stars of the world of fashion that hang on the walls will surely compensate, with their beauty reflected in the large gold framed mirror. The photographs of famous faces on the walls also reflect whom you may meet in Barock. From famous Czech celebrities, such as Simona Krainová or Dara Rollins, who enjoy dining there, to the American actor Matt Damon, one of the regular visitors to the restaurant.
Barock's has another exceptional feature in that it changes its appearance depending on the time of day. It's the perfect place to see how one of the most beautiful streets in Prague wakes up. The shutters are raised on the luxury shops, the pavements start to fill with a mix of residents and tourists and the whole of Pařížská street comes alive. Lunchtime brings a fantastic menu, with the local speciality being Japanese and Thai food, but you can also try French and Danish bakery products from our own bakery or even exotic cocktails. A real indulgence is the sushi or the marinated duck breast with Peking pancakes. Simply divine. These exotic specialities continue into the evening and with so many mouth-watering dishes on the menu it's hard to choose what to have.
Barock is definitely not one of those crowded bars where you have to fight to get to the bar and cannot hear yourself speak. The friendly surroundings and quiet carefully selected music is sure to inspire you. And remember to take a good look around; you never know who will be sitting at the table next to you!
