With its spectacular views, award-winning head chef Marek Purkart, and an adventurous approach to both exotic international dishes and to Czech classics, the Zátiší group's newest restaurant has quickly established itself among Prague's elite.
Led by Purkart's adventurous hand, Mlýnec's cuisine blurs national boundaries, creating a fusion guided only by flavor. In one signature dish, for instance, New Zealand lamb, served with a truffle condiment, shares a plate with Lebanese couscous. Elsewhere on a typical menu, Atlantic halibut is served with udon noodles, and Greenland shrimp make the acquaintance of Kenyan beans.
Thanks to its riverside setting, Mlýnec's terrace also offers magical views of the Charles Bridge in the summer, making this an ideal choice for a romantic rendezvous. A classy, contemporary interior, meanwhile, contributes to a level of luxury that's earned the restaurant two knife-and-forks from the legendary Michelin guide.
Popular with Czechs, expats, and tourists alike, "the Mill" is suitable for almost any occasion, from a business lunch to a romantic dinner, to a reception or party. The restaurant, which holds between 200 and 300 people, also caters to groups, and there's even a small section devoted to children.
And happily, Mlýnec's prices don't match the sumptuousness of the food; main courses, for instance, ranging from 395 CZK to 745 CZK.
