Check out the Prague TV Video for Cowboys
Close by Prague Castle, this stylish Kampa Group restaurant takes a sideways look at American cuisine. The main dining room's cowhide-bedecked booths are set among subtly lit brickwork and mirrors, while the friendly wait staff wear cowboy hats.
Upstairs, a rooftop garden offers sensational views across the city, with a heated conservatory providing warmth when the temperature begins to fall. Downstairs, things heat up at the weekends, with DJs, live music and bartender shows in the dining room's adjoining cocktail bar.
Along with red meat, the house's other specialty is seafood, with steaks of salmon, tuna and pompano on offer, alongside tiger prawns and sea bass. For the less predatory diner, the menu, designed by executive chef Marek Raditsch, also features a wide and imaginative range of vegetarian and poultry dishes, plus numerous salads and sides.
Cowboys' massive wine list is another strong point, drawing from vineyards around the world, while for traditionalists, who want a beer with their steak, there's Pilsner Urquell and a range of imported brands.
