Restaurant MAITREA in the Týnská ulička is a sister firm of Clear Head vegetarian restaurant in Prague Boršov. It is slightly larger, has 2 floors and 90 seats and interior in the style of feng shui. Inside there are two fountains, fireplace and a retreat with the Buddha - MAITREA. After him (in the translation of "loving kindness") is named the restaurant and also the whole house of personal development, in which it is located.

The main idea is to create a project in Prague, inspiring and pleasant place for meeting people. In addition to the interior atmosphere of this restaurant we hope you will appreciate also the position of the restaurant in a quiet street in the very center of Prague, non-smoking environment, vegetarian food and the neighborhood with the house of personal development (www.maitrea.cz) with a varied choice of interesting seminars and workshops. The advantage is the connection with the project related Clear Head Restaurant (www.lehkahlava.cz), which can offer a wider choice to our guests.

The reconstruction of the house and building a restaurant lasted almost three years and involved many artists and collaborators. The biggest thanks go to Mr. Acad. architect Oldřich Hozman (www.arc.cz), who builds his work for a long time on the principles of feng shui, and as far as possible took advantage of them in the concept of the restaurant and the whole house. Furthermore, we would like to thank acad. sculpturer Mr. František Svátek (www.fk-svatek.cz), who created specifically for the space two works of art – a mobile fountain on the ground floor and the still life with Buddha with another moving fountain in the first underground floor. We would like to thank the designer Viktor Korejs (www.divan.cz), with whom we continually consulted and who has produced a number of ideas for interesting details and interior equipment . We aslo thank to acad. artist Ivan Vosecký (www.ivanvosecky.com), who personally carried out the painting of several dozen Tibetan mantras Om Mani Padme Hum on the walls in the entrance room. The very greatest thanks go to Mr. Antonín Koláček, who provided many ideas for the restaurant and the project of the whole house and ensured funding and personal support to all works of art and ideas of other designers as well as ours.
