I have seen and heard the claims and although i like them i have to say i have tasted better burgers, BUT...i have become addicted to the Jama Wings. These are definately The Best!
Apr-12-2011This bar has very nice beer at very nice prices but when i last went to eat i have to say that the beef was not nice and the knedliky were still nearly frozen hard. Not very good. But i have eaten there many times and had no complaints so i suppose i was due a bad meal eventually.
Mar-28-2011The idea was to have a quiet, quick bite to eat last Saturday. Turned out to be the bar's 17th birthday! So quietness and quickness went out of the window. Was a really good night, anything but quiet. The best atmosphere you could imagine. Everybody was enjoying themselves. We were there until 2 am and the party was still in full swing. Congratulations to all at Jama on 17 years service.
Mar-15-2011Delicious! That's all i can say about the burgers at Jama.
I popped in yesterday after work at 5 to enjoy a beer for 25 Kc. You have no idea how good a beer tastes when it's that cheap. I love Prague where beer is cheaper than water!
I will be popping along today as well.

Had the best Christmas dinner on my travels ever.
Well 2 actually.
Roast Turkey on the Czech Xmas-24th and Roast Duck on the 25th.
Both were beautifully presented and tasted delicious.
The service was perfect.
The Czech beers were also perfect.
It's always weird eating in a restaurant at Christmas after growing up with family Christmases, but Jama really did an excellent job of making it a joyful experience.
See you next time.

Returned to Jama after a month or so. Decided this time to try one of it's recommended and regarded burger. I have to admit it was quite tasty if a little pricey. However it did come with a generous portion of chips - not fries! - and washed down with yet more varieties of Czech beer than i've seen elsewhere in the center. My girlfriend and i had a lovely evening sat in a corner. The afternoon seems to be a good time to visit.
Dec-13-2010Last night i went to Jama and enjoyed some chicken (Jama) wings washed down with a few cold beers. Enjoyed the sauce on the wings almost as much as the cold beer. Then watched some football in the rear tv room. A good time was had by all. A solid 4/5 for me
Nov-22-2010Discovered Jama for the first time thanks to the help of a flyer guy, a 2 for 1 offer on the beer is always welcome. Then being told that i can drink a Czech beer for 32kc is enough to make me stay a long time. Especially with lovely local girls to look at working and visiting on the weekend. I just wish the music was a little more recent. Its a basic looking bar but with a good atmosphere on every visit i have subsequently made.
Nov-19-2010I heard about Jama from an American friend who always goes for his burger or brunch. I decided to give it a try having been a regular full Irish breakfast eater at the bar nearby,Rocky O'Reilly's. I went on a Monday lunchtime and chose from the daily menu a typical Czech dish: Beef goulash with dumplings. It was ok. The beer was different from what i am used to. I tasted a Merlin, which is a dark beer. It was also ok. The service was good. So i am pretty sure i will go back. Jama does not have Sky Sports,so it wont be during Premier League matches.
Nov-17-2010I popped into JAMA yesterday. It was very busy, the day before a holiday, but my girlfriend was very hungry so we stayed. I cannot say the food was the best i've ever had,we both had the venison special. But i loved the Lobkowicz beer i washed it down with. All in all we had a good experience.
Nov-17-2010Jama has become a home from home for me since moving to the Czech Republic earlier this year. The Czech beers on draught are simply awesome. Cerna Hora,Lobkowicz,Merlin. All different tastes but all excellent. I keep on visiting to have a taste of home though...the BIGGEST burgers, nachos, wings. Always the same quality. But what makes Jama stand out for me is the service. The staff really know how to treat a customer.
Nov-15-2010We love to go to Jama, it has great atmosphere, friendly service, tasty beer ,usually pretty good “American” pub food & stacks and didn’t change for a long time (in a good way!). Only thing which is not perfect is that they do not have steady good kitchen. Sometimes food is amazing, sometimes not so good, even if you would grab the same dish…
Feb-25-2010OJama, yes you can! We went to the infamous Jama this weekend having heard so much about the great food and atmosphere, we were not disappointed. Our waitress was extremely friendly and brought out our drinks quickly. We ordered the wing sampler platter which was a mix of all the wing types, the Nuclear was VERY hot and we moved from mojitos to beer. We all ordered burgers which we had heard were the best in prague. I can't vouch for them being the best, but it was definitely the best I have had here. I had the bacon cheddar burger which was massive and had all the trimmings, the fries were perfect. They played good music and as I sipped my beer I kind of felt like I was in Denver or St. Louis bar. We got the bill which was a bit higher than we wanted to pay, but it was well worth it.
The bartender also called us a cab and his bill was fair so if you need a taxi ask them to order it, I guess they have a contact to a reputable firm.

I dropped by Jama again yesterday and just wanted to give some props to what they are doing over there. Whether they have the best burger in prague is up for debate, but the overall meal was fantastic. We split some of their spicy nuclear wings and they were delicious, exactly what a man wants in a wing, crispy and loads of hot tangy sauce. It comes with small veggies and blue cheese for all those ladies in the group. Then had the bacon cheese burger, asked for burger to be medium and it was. The tap beer is good and the saucy little servers always make the Jama experience a good one.
A 5 star thumbs up from me.
