Description from Support Lesbiens

Support Lesbiens began life as a grunge band on the Prague club scene, but have mostly outgrown their shock-value name. (The controversial moniker was apparently taken from a French concert poster that read, in part, "Support: Les Biens").

These days, the band plays slick, commercially successful, almost INXS-ish pop-rock, with English lyrics.

Founded in 1992, the Lesbiens were the first Czech band signed to Sony Music, and released two albums for the Japanese giant before disbanding in 1996.

The band reformed in 1998, and began working on new material, leading to 2001’s successful comeback album, Regeneration?

Even greater success awaited 2002’s follow-up, Tune Da Radio, helping the Lesbiens to Band of the Year and Album of the Year awards at the Anděls – the Czech equivalent of the Grammies.
