I like shopping in Ikea a lot, but there are some things which you should know before you will go there.
Firs thing is to make sure you are going to shop with your girl friend because they made you go threw whole store and if you are not used to shop there it can be long walk and your men could started to be impatient..
2. They make stuff look cheap but they don’t have to be (for example closets – you look on some which says 620 EUR, but if you look closer you see it is just corpus and not whole thing..).
3. If you do not have car, live close Prague city center and want to shop stuffs which would fit in car, do not use their transport. It is kid an expensive and you must wait at least 3 days for your stuffs. I think the best way how to do it (from my own rich experience) is to order taxi. It would be about the same price or even lower than their shipping costs but you will have your brand new stuffs home now and as bonus you will go home by cab. Just make sure you will book combi-car ;-)
I must appreciated their complain services. We bought there nice letter couch, but in a year leather started to look funny on some parts. I called them and in 2 weeks we had completely new couch.

I think IKEA is brilliant! I love the concept, the prices, and the designs. I think it has become so much better in the last 5 years; you can really find nice pieces to fit any home.
It is true; it does take a long time to walk through the shop. The opening times are from 10-10 so it is easy to choose a time when there aren’t too many people around. I prefer to go without my daughter, but she does love the place. It is one of the best equipped shops for children. Starting from the play room with balls downstairs, the children’s meals at the restaurant and ending with the large children section with toys to play with. I think my daughter thinks the entire store is just a massive play ground and I usually just end up chasing her around rather than choosing furniture.
In my opinion it is also the best value for money. There is nothing else like it. All the other shops either feature ghastly furniture (Kika, Idea etc.) or are incredibly expensive (Bo Concept, Natuzzi etc.) Kitchen’s are definitely the best. Something for everyone. I am sorry I did not get an IKEA kitchen. Mine is from a studio and was so much trouble and hassle, took 6 months, money had to be returned… IKEA would have been a lot easier with a similar looking kitchen.
Patricie seems to have a different experience than me with the transport; I’ve always received it the same day or the next day. Maybe it depends on the weekday.
