Brilliant zoo! It is on the top 10 list of world's best zoos and deservedly so. Since the floods in 2002 the zoo has spent a lot of money and effort to rebuild the devastated lower section. There are small play areas dotted around the entire compound and you are bound to come across a little shop or café with refreshments just about around every enclosure section. It is possible to borrow carts or strollers at the main entrance, so you don’t have to lug yours to Troja. Very important for those with little children. If you wish to view the entire zoo, make sure to reserve the entire afternoon at least. It can easily take 4-5 hours to walk around. The Indonesian jungle is my favorite part, together with the polar bears, and otters, oh and the meerkats, and the squirrel monkeys and gorilla babies, actually I really like the whole thing. The zoo certainly is one of the best places to visit in Prague, equally enjoyable for children as well as adults. I also have to say I did not notice the lack of chimps until Sam pointed it out. So full 5 points from me.
