Hi,
Yes, it is mostly true that nearly all films (Czech films) are co-produced with Czech TV, and they quite often handle international sales also.
Czech TV mostly provides services for its "investment" - lab, online for tv version, sound mix, etc rather than, say, a cash investment.
What is your specific interest, as I have experience in this market (and am co-producing a film with Czech TV right now...); are you looking to co-produce here; shoot a Czech film; buy Czech film rights?
Reply here with contact details if you would like me to get in touch.
Regards,
Justin. |

For Justin:
You wrote that you're co-producing a Czech film. I'd love to chat with you, as my partner and I are looking for a Prague based producer to help us find financing for a script.
Drop me a line at fredflintstone@seznam.cz.
Thanks. |

My name is Rob Dickinson, (IMDb) and I am a British screenwriter based in Prague and am working on a film noir type story set in post-war Prague Feb 1948 at the height of the communist take-over called ' Blowback' based on the true story of Project Paperclip. Ideally I would like it to be shot either in B/W or sepia but again I would like some help in development and finance or any kind of assistance from people who are interested in that genre (think - 'The Third Man')
Regards
Rob
