Hi Swamisits. In searching for some temples I came up with nothing. You might get more info from the folks who run Haveli restaurant
http://www.prague.tv/prague/dining/restaurants-indian/934
They have a message board there for people in the community and might be able to point you in the right direction. |

There are two of them in Prague both run by ISKCON
One is in Jilova, this is 2 bus stops from Zlicin in the yellow line.
The second one is in Prague 6
I don't have directions for that
you can go and check this place www.govinda.cz , they run this temple. |

The "Hare Krishnas" and "ISKON" are the same thing. It's entirely debatable whether or not their places of worship qualify as Hindu Temples. Technically they certainly could, but that's only due to the tremendous tolerance and flexibility which is one of the great strengths of India. ..... Otherwise, no Hindu Temples in this country, only the home versions, as commonly found in Hindu homes. |

Hommes,
India could be rightly said as a country of "Unity in Diversity"
Caste system was a categorization of people among the different cultures in India or classes once upon a time in India. Sometimes even based on location or the kind of work they did.
These days its not much of a big deal in India though religion still plays a big role. Especially Hindus and muslims, there have been riots in the past caused mostly by the politicians to get more votes.
There were times when people got banned from their families for marrying a guy/girl from a different caste/religion.
Different castes may also worship different gods and have completely different forms or worship or celebrating festivals. Some eat meat while some dont. While sometimes the differences becomes an issue, Indians stick together all over the world for each other no matter what caste they are. The caste system is historical and would still be a while until people completely stop differentiating and discriminating one another based on caste.
Hope thats helpful!
