The new Ambiente all you can eat is great, antipasto, pizza and pasta all for about 550 czk. You can get out of there on 800 CZK with water and wine. You can also just get the antipasto 180 czk (i think) or the pizza and pasta 350 czk.

Have to say, I went to Aromi last night and it was AWESOME. Definately not cheap, but incredible service, fantastic food, great wines and the atmosphere was really warm. A perfect place for a date or parents when they visit, they also have a "real" non-smoking section.

aromi - great, more upscale. trattoria cicala @ zitna -around for years, great and a little cheaper. trattoria roca @ anny letenske - avoid the seafood, great pizza's and pastas, reasonably priced.

Today I had lunch at Colosseum (Myslbek).

Solid, tasty pastas (most of the time) with attentive service (sometimes). Try the Zuppa di Pesci. Full of fresh seafood, 65 kc. The soup is quite filling, so if you're ordering an entree, error on the side of smaller.

(and Todd-san, what's the name of the place up the hill from you? The chef-run place..

Aha, Jeff, Lorenzos is closed :( he must of run off with a large breasted goat herder.

I did find a new one last night, Trattoria Roca, fantastic and 1/4 the price of Aromi. The food was good, atmosphere nice and staff friendly, the owner offered us Grappa on the way out, old Italian woman. A nice touch.

They have a good spaghetti vongole, clams as good as any place you'll find them, and tasty salmon carpaccio.
