Complimentary food tasting for all

Hi all,
just two years ago we opened a small home style restaurant at Manesova and we received tremendous support from the expat community in terms of suggestions, friendly support. On top of that, we met lot of wonderful people during these years. When we started Masala, we invited people from the community to come and taste our menu and help us make it better.
We are very pleased to announce that we have opened doors to another Masala today. We once again seek you support and love.
Complimentary Food Tastings are going to start for this new establishment from tomorrow. We welcome everyone to join us and enjoy these wonderful events which we shall host in the evenings.
This is how it works, you send us an email to reserve space for this free event. We shall confirm the dates and times once we recieve your emails. Please do not forget to mentions your contact numbers and the number of guests.
During the food tasting we present variety of dishes for you to taste and you are welcome to comment on what you liked and what you did not. Please note the mineral water shall be served with meals.

The restaurant is located 5 minutes walk from I.P. Pavlova or two tram stops on No. 11 ( pod Karlovem) towards Nusle. It has a beautiful summer garden which we lacked at Manesova. Plus we can cater to bigger groups now as we have increased seating capacity.

Our website shall be updated in a few days. The restaurant details are as follows:
MASALA Indian Restaurant
Pod Karlovem 157412, Praha 2
tel.: 222 561 021
mob.: 773 555 652, 773 566 696
e-mail: infokarlovem@masala.cz

See you all very soon :)

This is wonderful news.
many people in this neighborhood have been waiting for something good to open in this spot.

Babylon - The previous owners of this restaurant location offered overpriced, mediocre food with a rude staff, terrible drinks, and they didn't want to let dogs in, and said they could only come in if muzzled in the courtyard. they were assholes.

Masala, we happily await your opening.

The food was amazing, quite easily the best Indian food in Prague. Relaxed setting on a quiet street, friendly staff, and they will have lunch specials as well as keeping their normal dishes reasonably priced. A welcome addition to Prague 2... WooHoo!

Agreed on that - fantastic food, including some really unusual offers for Prague. They served the Okra sag with a spicy sauce that had hints of mango in it - really nice. The friend lentil patties with mint and tamarind sauce was also a total surprise. Nearly a desert, with really surprising texture and strong complementary tastes. We'll be back for sure. The place is huge, too, so no need for reservations - yet ;-)

Ok, i visited the new one as well. i had an excellent Vindaloo (which could have been a notch or two hotter for my taste but i understand they have to cater to the wimpy CZ palate..). But i will say this about Masala - they are expensive. It seems any time i go i cant leave without spending 250-300 CZK and thats just ridiculous for Indian food in my world. For the most part, it's food made in large batches - reheated and served. Instead of offering free basic rice, they charge 50 CZK for it. I think that's bordering on insulting. Good food but not an excellent deal. If they lowered the prices some, i can see many a meal happening there.
