Probably the insurance is fine, most let you choose from a long list of doctors that accept it. I think what your daughter needs to find is a good english-speakign doc in Vnihrady who accepts VZP..
Anybody know of one?
There is a clinic at Narodni Trida (this is centrally located) that accepts VZP (the largetts insurer) and they speak English. This particular place chargaes a one-time 500kc (20 USD) registration fee ... My friend, who speaks not a drop of Czech swears by this place.. |

They are the best, but i am quite certain they don't accept VZP, or any insurance for that matter, its cash or charge...
They are quite reasonable though, and if your time is worth money, you will appreciate that if you make an appointment at 10am, they see you then, not at noon. I can reccomend Dr. Benes

Just to keep this balanced, I heard from a friend very bad things about this clinic. It is run by Martin Jan Stransk?? (the guy thinks he should have been Havel's buttboy)
I heard this clinic's kind of physical exam involves the absolute minimal service. Better be sure about the insurance as well. My friend got service but then there was a problem with the insurance, and she got treated very disrespectfuly until they got the full bill (overpriced) paid in cash. |

I agree bout the insurance, that they don't take it...
As for the service, i am talking first hand it is top notch, have been to other doctors/clinics in prague and outside and haven't seen better.
Perhaps go there and see. I hear the Canadian Med Center is quite good, at $125 a pop. Stransky is $25.
As for Stransky, come on, the guy deserves respect.
