Strange that one can be shy even under the cloak of complete anonymity(sp?). I would think it would be more embaressing to admit that one is stupid enough NOT to get tested. Especially with a 1 in 4 rate of some sort of STD among young people here.
Funny how the only mildly helpful response contained less information that I could get from a telephone book. |

I dont understand what you need more than a list of medical facilties that can take care of your problem. What more are you after? Personal experiences at the doctor? I can understand people not wanting to go into detail on a website. I am sure one of those doctors can help you out or can point you in the right direction. Let us know here at PTV what you find out to help the future afflicted. Good luck. |

Ok, here is a brief version:
G.J. you gave me a list of med places that have paid you money. Not exactly reputable. Phone book is better.
I wanted good solid info about where to go and what to expect. So, I went to a place and this is my experience:
International Medical Services Clinic
Koněvova 31, Prague 3

speak english
you can drop by, but dont pee for 12 hours before.
doc is russian
the symptoms of Chlamydia, Trichomoniasis, and Gonorrhea are very similar so they will want to test for all, though the treatment is the same for all.
this means blood test for chlamydia, and very very very painful swabbing of inside of your member for the other two
cost breakdown
doc conversation 1800
swabbing torture 1800
blood test 1800
antibiotics if infected ????
they provide tea and bread and cheese after exam.
takes 5 days to get results. takes 7-10 days to cure.
i hope that people wake up here and stop speading this crap around. fast to cure so it shouldnt exist, but lazy ignorant people think that their partner is safe, blah blah blah. FUCKING GET TESTED! |

Lyle, you are naive.
Can you personally vouch for every person your partner has slept with? And if so, how about every person they have slept with? Has your partner been tested? Every heard of a silent carrier? Someone who shows no symptoms, but is very infected. Can lead to many many terrible things for both of you. Get a clue pal. |

Quick note:
We list any and all places. Any place can have their address, phone number, description for free. We only charge when people want a full-on mini-site on our site. To put it simply, we only charge when there's a bunch of work on our side to do. We do not do free web design. Getting listed is free and something we encourage. We are trying to make a complete and useful city guide. So obviously the more places and options the better. Truly. It's not a pay to play affair.

G.J. I apolize for assuming that you get paid for those listings. You know what they say about ASS-u-ME.
If you really want a complete city guide, why not put all of the medical places in the phone book into you list, rather than waiting for them to contact you?
The bread was ok. Very very sour. The cheese was that faux cheese type product that is more gooey and rubbery than anything. You know, the kind that usually comes pre sliced with plastic around it. But hey, it was free and the green tea was pretty good. Can't knock that. The hardest part (excuse the pun) was not peeing for 12 hours and getting harpooned with a double length q-tip "in there".
By the way. Is it possible to search the forums? If not, it should be. |

The standard place for porn Actors to get tested is Dittrichova 17. It costs 350czk and takes a week, or 500czk for next day, though the one weekers are usually ready the next day if you ask for it. But for the 500, you get an international certification

That's good info JC.
Here is an update to my saga:
Got the results from the tests. I got Chlamydia and somehow got Strep "down there" as well as 2 other not usually associated with "down there" bacterium. All this from ONE encounter with ONE girl. The doctor said that she must have had a "very dirty vagina". So, he gave me 2 antibiotics and one other medication. About 10 days of treatment. Then I gotta go back in and get the harpoon test again to make sure its gone. So the grand total price for the initial tests+visit, the meds, and the follow up exam is 10,000Kc!!!! So there ya go. Hope this helps someone in the future. USE CONDOMS PEOPLE!!! GET REGULAR CHECK UPS PEOPLE!!! COME ON NOW!!! |

FYI, a friend got a free HIV test at one of these clinics, but if he wanted the results printed out (for example, if you need documented evidence), there was something like a 500kc fee (which is what you might pay at a doctor's office).
