Hello.
I came here in Prague with student visa last months, and I am studying at Univ now. (not regular student, though)

Fortunately, I found job here and would like to work.
Company also wants to hire me.

but there is a problem.
They doesn't have big firm and never hired anybody who has student visa and they doesn't know how to do it.
They says it takes 5 months to get working visa and
they worries about If Czech government(or Foreign Police?) knows that I am not studying at univ for 5 months, my visa will be canceled and can't enter Czech Rep again.

or.... If I apply for working visa(or apply for "changeing" to working visa),from the day I apply for I could work without any problem as a person who is expected to get working visa?

first off, which country are you from ?

If you're from the EU, then you can legally work in the Czech republic with no restrictions AND you can study at the same time.

If you're not , then its different and often varies from country to country.

You need to specify your nationality.

Hi there, If you are outside of EU the best would be to call some agency who is providing those kind of services and check it out (they shouldn’t charge anything just for advice). I can recommend one as they did paperwork’s for me in the past: http://www.so-ry.cz/sluzby_en.htm Just keep in mind that labour code has been recently changed due to high unemployment in Czech Republic: every work permission will be double-checked and employer put under pressure in order to employ Czech citizen instead of foreigner outside of EU. This might make things bit tough but it’s up to your employer to sort it out. Cheers
