I have been to this night on the Wednesday and the guy was spinning some quality tunes of the Indie / Britpop etc variety. Seemed to be getting busier as well, the later it got.
Seemed like an English speaking crowd as well, so Id recommend this night 100%. |

Hey there, I DJ at club XS, which hosts an Indie Rock, Electroclash, New Wave etc. dance night every Wednesday. M1 is also a great place- it's more of a bar atmosphere where as club XS is a dance night club (movie screens, lights, dance floor, etc.) and the drink prices are the same. It's all about what you are looking for. Try one or the other, or both, in a night: either way you are going to hear quality jams!

It´s not corny 80s, no Roxette or Madonna, but 80´s stuff that influenced indie rock.... so, The Jam, The Clash, David Bowie, Madness, New Order/Joy Division, etc. mixed in with new Indie Rock and Electro. I will go in September to Prague on vacation. I'm from Portugal and i do DJs nights here where i play Indie, New Wave, Electronic, etc.
Anyone knows the contacts of the M1 and XS club? They seem interesting from the comments here and i'm looking if any club in Prague is interested in having me there one night playing music in September since i will be there.

my most favorite is La fabric .its restaurant upstairs and bar,and downstairs disco and bar.its tipical czech building with all kinds of music-hiphop,r"nb,pop,rock,etc,and u also find place for sitting and chating.good place for ppl around 25-30age |

Hey everyone. Sorry I did not update you all about XS closing, lets just say bad management on the owners part.
For everyone interested, PANIKA! is now at Club Bordo - Vinohradska 40, on the 4th Saturday of every month (see website for exact dates). Featuring live Indie Bands from all over mixed with DJs playing the newest and classic indie/electro tunes.
Our first show is Jan. 27th 2007 - Come check it out!
Other dates: Feb 17th, March 24th, April 21st., etc.

Blind Eye is located at Vlkova 26. Just up the hill from the husinecka tram stop. (5,26,9) will all take you there. Just two stops from the center.
