Canadian with dad born in Prague - visa help?

Hi - My dad is German, but was born in Prague. He immigrated to Canada in the 50s with his parents and has lived here since. I am really really interested in getting either an EU visa or passport (not sure if that's possible?) or a Czech visa. I'm not sure though if I should be looking into German or Czech visas? Does anyone know? I have all of his immigration papers. Any help would be much appreciated! Thanks!
