I have alot of pictures (above 100) on CD that I want to process on normal photo-paper. Where to go? Is there some "vanocni-sleva" somewhere - or does anyone have experience with any shops?

So what did I do?

I have used the Droxi- stores by doing the following:
Download a program from the internet (http://www.droxi.cz) and upload the pictures to them (if you don`t have internet I am sure you can borrow it for free from your university or something.) Then you can select which stores you will have your pictures delivered (any Droxi- store in Prague) and within 3-4 days you get an e-mail with a number and you can pick them up there. If you order for above 180 CZK (approx) there is no additional costs, and the price per normal digital photo is 2,50 CZK (10x13 - standard digital format).

Recommended++: http://www.droxy.cz

I havent found any cheaper shops, Kodak and other "brand" shops charge around 6-8 CZK per picture. I have seen some shops with the price of 0,90 CZK - but I think that there are some additional fees.

www.ultralab.cz - a very good photo lab.

might cost more than 2.5 crowns but the prints are good and have an archival life.

beware of cheap prints which won't last. i see little point in making a print if it won't even last as long as a digital file. it's remarkable that black and white prints from 100 years ago are longer-lasting than almost any existing color print technology.

fyi Fuji paper has a more trusted archival life than kodak or other kinds of prints. Kodak has repeatedly proved itself to be unreliable and untrustworthy with its claims of print longetivity.
