I have one of those boxes. At the moment, you only get Czech channels plus the Slovak news channel TA3. In addition to ČT1, ČT2, Nova, and Prima, you also get ČT24 (News), ČT4 (Sport), Očko (Music Videos), Top (Shopping Channel), 24cz (a C-SPAN/BBC Parliament-type channel), and NOE (some sort of Christian channel). There are also a few Czech radio stations.
I imagine there are more TV channels on the way, but I don't know if any of them will be English-language.
I enjoy having the extra music channel, sports, and news, but I could live without the rest of it. On the plus side, the picture quality is very good - I notice the difference when I see analogue TV now. |

I was looking at those at Bauhaus. Dont you have to have a special antenna? I saw they were selling a Digital TV antenna that lloked like the old cellular antennas for car phones (the ones on the roof) Or can I plug ANY antenna into it? I assume, that there is no variance in quality because it is digital, does the tv have to have any requirements?
Are you guys interested in streaming English programming from the web? 100+ channels of popular sitcoms for 400kc/month? let me know. |

With the digibox we're using, you just plug your regular aerial cable into it. |

I get most of my the things I want to watch by streaming, a host oof site's are currently available.
Recently I called UPC to cancel DTH subscription....they replied by offering to decrease the price to "rock bottom"... because of the stupidly low price they offered I decided to stay with them (for BBC Prime and Galaxie in English and Czech, dual option on Galaxie is available).
Between streaming and the really rock bottom price offered by UPC (they called back twice!), and wifi I have what is required without breaking the bank. |

Actually Czech TV still does have some movies/shows in dual, but they are quite limited: Monty Pythons Flying Circus on Friday nights, US films from the 80's and of course there is the film club on ct2 which is in original english with subtitles. |

I wonder if anybody could help. I just had a sattellite dish put in today. Bought a digibox in Prague with the card in and yet only get about 6 chanells. The bloke told me I can watch 15 chanels for free. Looking at my profile there is no option, but to pay for the CT1, Ct2 etc.. basic chanels which were mean to be free. Is it possible that they sold me an old card? I am a Czech woman who doesn`t understand thechnical stuff, but surelly I must do something to get the main chanals for free. Any help will be greatly appriciated.
