>>Can anyone suggest where I might be able to find a female escort for a couple days?
Just sit on any tram and smile at whichever woman you are most attracted to. As soon as she realises you are not Czech she will immediately be attracted to you. You will probably have sex within a few hours and will not have to pay anything (apart from the tram ticket, which costs 20Kc).
>>What tourist sites would you recommend I see?
Prague is famous for its shopping malls. I would suggest going to see Černý most: this is one of the best-known ones.
While you are there you can visit Ikea and Electroworld. Electroworld has a particularly good selection of fridges and cookers. Although they are probably only marginally cheaper than where you live at the moment, you might still be interested in bringing one back with you as a souvenir.
>>(I love castles and historic sites)
In that case you might want to visit Germany while you are here.
How cold does it get in December?
>>Between -30 and -80 degrees celsius.
>>I appreciate any information that you can provide me with.
You are welcome. I hope that you enjoy your stay!
Thanks, James |

Alex,
Thanks for the advice. When you hit puberty maybe your comments will mature along with your primitive mind.
Thanks alot bro,

I've done my research, I thought I would see what this message board had to offer. Unfortunately for me I received sarcastic remarks from an internet message board junkie that has nothing better to be doing with his life. Hopefully you're not from Prague, because it's assholes like you that give it a bad rep. Now, Alex, you obviously have nothing better to do with your life than monitor this message board and make comments on nearly every topic - I'll dedicate this post to you, and only you. Come on Alex, now is your time to shine - this message board is what brings meaning to your life. So Alex, lets make that life of yours worth something. |

The reason for my sarcasm was that your original posting was idiotic and an open invitation for someone to make fun of it.
You are coming all the way to the Czech Republic from the Middle East, yet are too lazy or cheap to buy a guidebook telling you what is worth seeing? Would I fly to Dubai, say, and post on some expat website to find out what is worthwhile there? If you don't know anything about the Czech Republic why bother coming?
If you want to see castles you need to know how to get there. Do you think that people will spend hours writing out all the directions and entrance times, and detailed descriptions? For $10 you can buy a book which tells you this.
If you want to find the climate in December you could find accurate long-term statistics from any of dozens of websites. Very few expats measure the air temperature daily.
As for your question about finding a Czech prostitute: this just makes you seem creepy. What did you expect, detailed accounts of which ones are best to fuck and their telephone numbers?
If you post intelligent questions you won't get sarcastic replies. |

Hey James
Forget Alex. I think this is his full-time job. (Actually, I think he took a shine to you. You must have caught him on a happy day.)
As for tourist sites, so far I'd recommend the castle at Karlstein, the wine cellar in Melnik and the "bone church" in Kutna Hora.
If you want girls, just go to Darlings in Wenceslas Square. I haven't been to a ton of strip joints, but so far they seem to have the best selection of higher quality girls. Most of them also offer sex.
I haven't done a December in Prague yet, but I've been told the winters get pretty brutal.
Hope you enjoy your visit. |

James:
Stupid questions, stupid answers. Alex's answer is right perfect to show you a mirror.
Is it such a problem to find very elementar facts about Prague - or even about Central Europe (How cold does it get in December?) - yourself? |

Thanks for the yays and nays regarding my post. In all honesty, I did do my own research, as I previously mentioned, my intention was to see what type of reaction I would receive (from locals or expats).
If Mr. Alex and Ms. Vickey are indeed locals, than so be it, I received raw and honest answers from them. Perhaps they have developed some anger towards tourists. Or they just have a knack for taking simple things and blowing them out of proportion. If you folks are married or in a relationship it has got to be tough being your significant other. Alex, thanks for your clever advice - I saved myself $10 and used the internet.
I have looked around this site and found out quite a bit of useful info. I've also looked into the history of Prague, and what has influenced the country to develop into it's current state. I look forward to experiencing it's unique culture and catching some of the cool climate in December.
Paulo27, thanks for the advice, I appreciate it.
Cheers. |

You are coming all the way from the Middle East and can't be bothered to spend $10 to find out what is worth seeing?????? You will join the hordes of other ignorant tourists who wander around like herds of sheep between the only three tourist sites that they have heard of. |

Alex,
You just don't get it do you - I've got a list of nearly 15 places/sites that I'll be seeing. I've done my research and I'm looking forward to the trip. I won't be joining the hordes of other ignorant tourists, I'll be joining, apparently, the small group of informed and educated tourists. I am going on my own, and I will be there for 9 days - I will be seeing the more popular tourist sites, but after I have finished seeing them I will spend the rest of my time exploring the city and hopefully meeting some of the great locals along the way. I have an open mind man, I'm not going to cause trouble or raise hell. I am trying to learn some of the language as well. If I might ask, are there any special sites you would suggest I visit? Perhaps some that are less popular and not so commercial. About the $10 tour guide - I am in the Middle East, if you haven't figured it out yet, this isn't my home, I am only working here. Needless to say, tour guides of Prague aren't abundant here, and receiving anything via mail takes much longer than it would if I were home. Thanks for any help. |

>>meeting some of the great locals along the way
Don't get your hopes up on this one.
>>If I might ask, are there any special sites you would suggest I visit?
I did suggest a couple of sites which are off the beaten track, but you didn't like the sound of them. If you are staying for nine days your best bet would be to get out of Prague and see some of the smaller towns such as Olomouc and Kutna Hora.
>>Needless to say, tour guides of Prague aren't abundant here
Most countries stock Lonely Planet guides. Where are you based? |

Well I am on th fence with this one. On the one hand I would rather you went to Kiev or Riga for your sexploits simply because I would rather not see another drunk expat hanging off of the arm of a way too young and obviously uninterested girl who is unfortunatly forced into performing survival sex.
But, I would rather it not happen there either. You know what, I not on the fence really. Here's an idea. Stay in the Middle East and abuse their women. |
