Anglo-American University’s top ranked MBA program

Prague’s Anglo-American University (AAU), located in the Mala Strana district,
only a few steps from the Charles Bridge, has partnered with Chapman University
in California to create a unique opportunity for students to earn their MBA from a
prestigious American university, while studying abroad in the beautiful city of Prague.
The combination of having 60% of all classes taught by Chapman faculty, ensuring high-
quality instruction in all course material, while having the chance to study and live in
Prague is extremely beneficial to the pursuit of an MBA. Having had a recent economic
transformation and being a member of the European Union, Prague is a pertinent place to
partake in an academic program that focuses on business and economics, providing you
with an early position in the global business world.

Accredited by AACSB (The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business) –
one of the most prestigious accreditations in the world, having only been granted to 14%
of all schools of economics – the Chapman University MBA program is of the highest
quality. The program has also been awarded the regional American accreditation, WASC
(Western Association of Schools and Colleges). All courses in Prague are conducted
in English, and the on-site Chapman professors at Anglo-American University are
renowned specialists with degrees from Harvard, Princeton, Cornell, and many other
esteemed universities. Many of the Chapman professors have worked in multinational
companies and they can bring experience and perspective from the world’s market.
Particularly noteworthy is the close connection between Vernon L. Smith – who was
awarded the Nobel Prize in Economics in 2002 – and the Argyros School of Business
in Economics, guaranteeing that the program is of the highest quality. Professors from
Anglo-American University comprise the rest of the faculty, and they, too, are equipped
with the highest scientific and pedagogic degrees, as well as years of practice in business
and finance fields.

Coupling the prestige of Chapman University’s MBA program with the opportunity to
pursue the program in Prague is an invaluable combination for post-graduates who wish
to be more globally competent individuals. Both undergraduate and graduate students
from over 60 countries have taken advantage of all the programs Anglo-American
University has to offer, and each student brings a bit of their culture to the school,
enhancing the educational process for everyone. Being a part of this multi-cultural
experience is an excellent way to gain the tools that are required for the international
business world.

The 16-month program emphasizes strategy formulation, execution and evaluation. The
program is delivered in an intensive weekend format, meaning all courses are conducted
Friday evening, all day Saturday, and Sunday morning, making it the ideal option for
students who wish to work during the week. The program consists of 1, 3, and 4 credit
courses, including ten core and four elective courses. The program is offered for 430.000
CZK, which is approximately half the price of the same program at Chapman University
in California. This significant discount reflects the strategic interest of Chapman
university as an extension of its operation in Europe. Students also have the option of
taking one class at Chapman University’s U.S. location for the same price.

In preparing its students for management positions, the Chapman MBA program consists
of three modules, which include Management and Personal Development, focusing on
basic development of management skills; Strategic Management, giving students the
tools to create optimal strategies while in management positions; and Financial and
Economic Analysis, teaching students accounting and statistic methods, and preparing
them to be financially savvy. Graduates of the program will receive a U.S. MBA diploma
from Chapman University, as well as qualifications for highly professional positions.
AAU MBA graduates have obtained careers in government and non-governmental
organizations, diplomacy, academic institutions, and international business organizations,
