Transportation changes for the Guns N' Roses concert

Due to the large number of people expected the city is taking measures to ease traffic

Rock band Guns N 'Roses will be playing a large outdoor concert at Letňany Airport on July 4, and the authorities expect large numbers of people.

The city strongly recommends taking the Metro C line to the Letňany stop. The concert venue is within easy walking distance. The concert starts at 7 pm, but doors open much earlier (doors open 16:00, Jesse Jo Stark 17:15 & Biffy Clearo starting 18:05). Metro service will be increased as of 2 pm.

There is absolutely no parking in the concert area.

There are also increased security measures, and large bags (over the size of A4 paper) are not permitted. A long list of items including selfie sticks, flags except for Czech ones, sprays, containers, folding chairs, computer notebooks, laptops, videocameras, still cameras with detachable lenses and all weapons are not allowed.

People are urged to come early to allow for the security measures.

Traffic will not be allowed on the streets Mladoboleslavská, Tupolevova, Belada, Touzimska and Veselská from about 6 am to 11 pm except for public transportation, emergency vehicles and residents.

Bus stops for lines no. 110, 136, 140, 158, 195, 201, 209, 351 and 377 will be relocated to the Letňany metro stop.

For the return journey after the end of the concert the city again recommends the metro, which will operate from 10 pm to midnight on all lines with significantly strengthened numbers of trains.

Due to the closure of the metro stops between Florenc and Pražského povstání, the city recommends changing to either the A or B metro lines and making other connections, as the XC substitute buses lack the capacity for everyone. Those stations are closed until July 9.

There will also be increased bus service lines 136 (to metro station Vysočanská), no. 140 (to metro station Palmovka) and no. 195 (to metro station Skalka).
