Use public transport for the Robbie Williams concert

The city urges people to use the metro or buses and the organizer says to come early

The city has made changes to public transportation to accommodate the Robbie Williams concert on Aug. 19 at Letiště Letňany. People attending the concert are urged to take public transportation such as the metro Red or C line to the Letňany stop.

Two important things to note is that if you want to buy a ticket at the venue, it is cash only, no credit or debit cards. Also, umbrellas are not allowed, so if it still looks like rain bring a plastic poncho or suitable clothing instead. A list of other banned items is at the bottom of this article.

Metro service from 2 pm to 8 pm and from 10:30 pm to midnight will be significantly enhanced.

Parking anywhere in the area of the concert is not available to the public and people are strongly urged not to drive there, or to park at a distant Park + Ride lot and complete the journey on public transportation.

Buses 110, 136, 140, 158, 195, 201, 209, 351 and 377 will have their stops relocated near the Letňany stop.

Bus line 136 from Vysočanská (metro B) to Letňany will be reinforced from 4 pm to 8 pm and again from 10:30 to midnight in Letňany to Vysočanská direction.

Note that for people changing trains, the Muzeum metro stop on the A line in the direction of Depo Hostivař is closed. The platform in the opposite direction is still open. People who need to get to that station to change to the C line from the affected direction need to go one more stop to Náměstí Míru and backtrack.

Gates to the outdoor venue open at 3 pm. The opening act Erasure is scheduled at 7:15 pm and the headline act Robbie Williams, promoting his album The Heavy Entertainment Show, is set to play at 8:30 pm.

Concert organizer Live Nation also emphasized using public transportation. They urge people to be careful in what they bring, as cloakrooms and depositories are not available in the venue.

They warn people to plan for lines getting in. “We would like to inform concert visitors that increased security measures will be applied at Prague’s concert. We would like to ask the visitors to come ahead of time to avoid long lines and waiting. We kindly ask visitors attending the show not to bring any bags bigger than A4 size and assist us by turning up with plenty of time to spare and help make entering and exiting the arena as smooth as possible. We also encourage everyone to pay attention to their surroundings, or anything that may be of concern and avoid creating panic and unsafe situations,” Live Nation said on Facebook.

They gave a list of items that cannot be brought into the concert area: laptops, tablets, any flags except national flags, weapons (including knives, brass knuckles, firearms, edged and pointed weapons, axes, chains, tubes, rods - including wooden ones), pepper and / or tear sprays, explosives, combustibles, video cameras (including GoPros etc.) cameras with removable lenses, audio recorders, selfie sticks, large luggage (including suitcases on wheels), seats, chairs, tables, steps and / or ladders, various footpads including polystyrene or wooden cubes, umbrellas, glass or plastic or metal bottles, PET bottles, pressure vessels (with compressed gases including pressure horns), pyrotechnics, means of transportation (bicycles, scooters, baby strollers, skateboards, roller skates; except wheelchairs with guide and assistance dogs, if accompanying a person with a disability requiring their assistance), toxic and narcotic drugs or psychotropic substances, food or beverages (in both cases except for small quantities for immediate personal consumption - especially in case of celiac disease (gluten-free diet), syringes (except for diabetics if they bring an insulin syringe or insulin pen - a diabetic medical ID might be required), laser light sources including small pointers, motorcycle helmets, any other items that could be used as a weapon against other visitors, event staff or performers, especially by throwing on or around the stage (e.g. stones, etc.) and possibly other dangerous items.

What is also prohibited: crowd surfing, sitting and standing on barriers, fences, landing barriers and similar devices and technical means, getting over barriers, fences, landing barriers and similar devices, throwing any objects on or around the stage, bringing any banners or banners that have political and / or offensive content, performing any commercial, advertising, political or other inappropriate activities in the venue and in its vicinity without the prior written consent of the promoter of the event.
