Enrique Iglesias to play O2 Arena Prague

The King of Latin Pop Returns to Prague (For His Birthday)

Enrique Iglesias is a singer, well-known for his twist of Latin American and pop music. Within the last decade he has made himself known to the younger generation as the “King of Latin Pop,” and his appearances in Europe are sure to be appreciated by the younger community. Enrique Iglesias kicked off his international tour in Budapest, Hungary in March and will be performing in Prague at the O2 Arena May 7-8.

Though Iglesias has not been on the music circuit with a huge hit in months, his staple hits like “I Like It” and “Bailando” are known around the world. Iglesias’ tour will continue through the summer and into the fall. It has also been said that his European tour will help Iglesias recreate himself as an artist.

Selling well over 100 million records and winning multiple Grammy awards, Enrique Iglesias has countless hits on the Billboard charts and has been named as one of the most successful male dance club artists of all time. The singer has headlined ten world tours and is considered a multi-platinum artist in many countries around the world.

Born in Madrid, Spain in 1975, Enrique Iglesias was raised in a family with a passion for music. His father Julio Iglesias (age 74) is a Spanish singer and his mother Isabel (age 67) was a journalist and is now currently a socialite and television host. At a young age, Enrique was prone to the spotlight and was eventually sent to live in Miami, where he would secretly pursue a self-made career in music under the name Enrique Martinez. Though raised in a family filled with fame, Enrique wanted to make himself famous on his own, rather than using his well-known last name to land him easy jobs and money.

Most notably known for his collaborations with Pitbull, Enrique Iglesias has most recently targeted a younger audience and has implemented his Spanish music in the US and Europe and has made numerous appearances on charts across the world. Iglesias has also done collaborations with famous musicians Lil Wayne, Usher, Flo Rida, and Nicole Scherzinger.

While his set-list for his live concert tour contains music from his newer albums, he also will surely play his most famous songs from when he was an aspiring musician, including his hits “Hero” and “Heartbeat”.

Iglesias is returning to Prague since his debut appearance in the Czech Republic in 2016. These two nights will be special not only for the fans but for Enrique himself as he is performing in the city on his birthday: May 8. The concert will not only be special for fans, but also for the King of Latin Pop, himself.

Some last tickets are still available for today, May 7 at www.o2arena.cz / ticketportal.cz.
