Prague is one of the last stops on the European leg of the tour, which starts May 11 in Portugal and ends June 25 in Budapest before heading the North America in mid-July. The band ends its residency in Las Vegas on April 27, 2019.

The Backstreet Boys also announced their new album, called DNA, will be released Jan. 25, 2019. It is their first new album since 2013. The new album will include the already released singles “Don’t Go Breaking My Heart” and “Chances.”

“Okay, here we go…. #DNAWorldTour 2019! Our tenth album #BSBDNA out January 25th! Thank you all for coming on this journey. Things are about to get interesting!!!!!!” the band announced on its official Twitter account.

The new album has been a collaborative effort.

“When this group started 26 years ago – and through all the highs and lows of our career – we’ve had to learn it wasn’t about us as individuals but about what’s best for the group,” band member Howie Dorough said in a press release.

Kevin Richardson said: “That’s what I love about this album. We were able to bring all of our influences and styles into one coherent piece of work. These songs are a great representation of who we are as individuals and who we are as a group. It's our DNA. We’re really proud of that.”

Brian Littrell added: “The journey is ongoing with us and there is so much left to do. We’re living the next chapter that hasn’t been told yet, and that's exciting.”

American dance-pop vocal group the Backstreet Boys formed in Orlando, Florida, in 1993. The members are AJ McLean, Howie Dorough, Nick Carter, Kevin Richardson and Brian Littrell.

The rose to international fame with their third album, Millennium, which was released in 1999 and followed by a sold-out tour. The album stayed on the Billboard charts for 93 weeks.

In 2001 the Backstreet Boys performed the US national anthem at Super Bowl XXXV.

The band had a few setbacks, including the temporary departure of Kevin Richardson, who left in 2006 following the release of the comeback album Never Gone, which sold well but got some bad reviews for its change in musical style. He returned in 2012, after missing out on several albums and tours.

The Backstreet Boys were last in Prague in 2009, as a quartet and not a fivesome, on the This Is Us tour.
