Jessie J coming to Forum Karlín

The British singer will perform in Prague for the first time

British singer Jessie J will perform in Prague at Forum Karlín on April 23, 2019. Tickets are available via Goout, Ticketportal and Ticketpro.

This will be her first show in Prague, but she was previously at the Colours of Ostrava festival over the summer.

She will be showcasing material from her four-part 2018 album R.O.S.E., which stands for Realisations, Obsessions, Sex and Empowerment. It is not her most recent album though, as she also has just released a collection of holiday songs called This Christmas Day.

Jessie J, stage name for Jessica Ellen Cornish, began her career at age 11 in the London musical Whistle Down the Wind.

She came to fame with her debut single “Do It Like a Dude” as well as her sophomore single “Price Tag.” these were included on her 2011 debut album Who You Are. The singles “Nobody's Perfect,” “Who You Are,” “Domino” and “Laserlight” all reached the top 10 in the UK Singles Chart, making her the first British female artist to have six top 10 singles from one studio album.

Her second album Alive, released in 2013, had the hit songs “Wild” and “It's My Party.” Her 2014 album Sweet Talker had the single “Bang Bang,” which debuted at number one in the UK. The album also reached number 10 on the US Billboard 200, her best success in the US.

She took a break before releasing R.O.S.E., which came out as 4 EPs and took her sound into a more R&B direction. The collection had four singles released.

In June 2012, she performed at the Queen's Diamond Jubilee Concert outside Buckingham Palace and in August of that year at the closing ceremony of the 2012 Olympic Games in London.

In addition to singing, she has been a judge on The Voice UK and The Voice Australia. She has also appeared as a contestant in China. In January 2018, she was on the sixth season of the Chinese competition show Singer 2018 and became the first European winner.

She has also helped write songs for Alicia Keys, Miley Cyrus and Chris Brown, and has been active in charity efforts.

She won a Brit Award in 2011 in the Critic’s Choice category. That same year she won the Next Big Thing Award at the MTV Brand New Awards, and Entertainer of the Year at the Stonewall Awards. Over her career, she has won six MOBO Awards, which recognizes artists of any race who perform music of black origin.

Her song “Bang Bang” (feat. Nicki Minaj & Ariana Grande) won a prize at the BMI London Music Awards and was named one of the Most Performed Songs at the ASCAP Pop Music Awards.
