Cinematic Orchestra guitarist Stuart McCallum returns to Palác Akropolis, this time with his own quartet.
TUESDAY, MAY 1
May 1 is Labor Day, a public holiday in the Czech Republic. Closely linked with the Soviet era, the tradition actually dates back to 19th-century Chicago, where a general strike ended in the infamous 1886 Haymarket Riot. Post-1989, May 1 has become a day for rallies and demonstrations.
If fighting the power doesn't take your fancy, experimental Australian post-hardcore band Closure in Moscow top the bill at Chapeau Rouge.
WEDNESDAY, MAY 2
Together with a host of celebrity guests, The Tap Tap, an acclaimed Czech group made up of handicapped musicians, throw a "party on wheels" at Divadlo Archa.
THURSDAY, MAY 3
Slovak electronic folk duo Longital are the special guests at the latest Prague International Bluenight at A Studio Rubín.
FRIDAY, MAY 4
Australian guitar phenomenon Joe Robinson shows off his unique finger-picking technique at Palác Akropolis.
Austrian drum 'n' bass duo Camo & Krooked are the special guests at Roxy's Shadowbox night.

SATURDAY, MAY 5
Topping the bill at the Electronic Beats Festival Prague, The Streets' Mike Skinner plays a DJ set at Divadlo Archa.
Belgian dance/rock/pop group Hooverphonic bring an orchestra to Palác Lucerna's Velký sál (Great Hall).
SUNDAY, MAY 6
Amateur jazz musicians are invited to U Malého Glena for its weekly UMG Jam Session.
